A halfway house is a transitional living place for those in recuperation from drugs and/or alcohol. In some states, because of legal requirements, the term “sober living residence” ... moreis utilized. Some individuals go to mens sober living from treatment center, prison, or a homeless situation, while others go there to be in a sober and clean environment to begin the recovery process. Some citizens remain in halfway houses due to court orders.

Many New York halfway houses require citizens to pass breathalyzer and drug screening tests as they aren’t equipped to handle withdrawal signs from drugs or the DT’s (Delirium tremens, which are related to extreme alcohol withdrawal). If you can’t pass these tests, a treatment center might be your best alternative.

Find the best halfway house or sober home for you or your loved one. We put each home through a vetting process to ensure the ranking will assist you in finding the option that is best for you. Homes are evaluated by user reviews, treatments center reviews, and our own standardized process.

Give yourself the best chance of recovery by staying in a transitional home, surrounded by safe community. To receive our stamp of approval, the home must have mandatory drug testing weekly, and that is just the start. You can contact the halfway house owner easily with just a click.
