Michelle is a graduate of SMU's Non-Profit Leadership Program, Certified Intervention Professional, state certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist, current Board Member of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR), and CEO of Bentley Place and Intensive Integration Outpatient.
In addition to being a published author, Michelle has received several awards and national recognition for her work in helping addicts find hope and achieve long term recovery.

She has dedicated her career to helping women and men in their recovery of substance use disorders. After 18 years of drug addiction, Michelle paired her life experiences with her skills and passion and founded Recovery Inn in January 2008.
Michelle is a published author in Dare to Be a Difference Maker Volume II. She has also been featured in numerous media including Channel 11 News; Advocate Magazine, Plano Profile Magazine, Dallas Morning News and Plano Star Courier.
